I was so excited to get Roxio's software. My DL DVD burner came with Nero and it never burned one disk. I had to wait a year to save up for this software and then when I finally burn a DL disk the audio is massively out of synch. Funny, I burned the same movie to 4.7GB disks with Roxio 6 and it worked fine. I figured that I just need to update my Roxio software so I download the update and go to install it. I get an error message that says something like "That software isn't on this computer". Whenever I run it though, the installed software gets corrupted and won't run. Anyone got any ideas? By the way, I'm not much of a fan of Roxio's tech support method.

I am confused.  What update did you download?  If you had version 6 on your computer, there is no update available that will update it to version 8.  You need to purchase the upgrade, and I don't believe that that is available anymore.  You will have to upgrade to version 9, unless you go to e-bay or some other place and find version 8.

Now, if you actually purchased version 8, and it was the dowloaded version, there is no update for it.  The update for version 8 that is on the Roxio website, is for the Retail (boxed) version of the software.
