I just installed the EMC 9 recently, everything is fine but the "Media Experience" and "Cineplayer". is that possible for someone to give me some screen shot for those two program coz I really have no idea whether or not I have the correct one. u know what, when I open those two programs, I got the program running in the whole screen and the back ground is black, there's just couple simple choice such as "open","play"...(no menu, no window, which I think it supposed to have), that's kinda weird, and when I play the DVD, there's only sound but no video.

I'm really confused about these problems, would anyone please help me out about these? :)

DMX background should be a blue color.  It's sounds like the MPEG2 codec has not been activated.  Have you at any point gotten the activation dialog box for the MPEG 2 codec?  EMC9 now uses  3rd party codec which must be activated after so many uses.

Here is the screen shot for DME,

thx for all those replies, they are all very clear hints. u know what, actually, I can only see those "menu", but not the pictures, and it seems not completely, so if it's sth. wrong with the MPEG 2 codec, what shall I do?

I just grab my screen to show u guys what I saw on my computer when I open my "Cineplayer" so that it makes more sense for u guys to figure out my problem with this software.

Here's the photo:

Sorry, you don't have the ability to post images. That has to be turned on by the administrator. If you have a web site, you can post them there and link to them. You can now see your images because they are on your computer.

If you have a ISP provider who gives you free image posting space, you can post the image there and send us the link. Also if your provider does not allow posting images, you can use Live Share and use a private message to give me, and/or grandpabruce and/or ggrussell the link once you get it set up. Live share is part of EMC 9 and allows us to see those files on your computer. You may not want to post it public ally because everyone would have that ability.

Alternately, you may have to just describe what you are seeing.

Were you able to get the codecs activated?

Try updating the video card drivers and then see if you have the same issue

Yes, it is possible that the card does not support Microsoft DirectX 9c.  The card design is almost seven years old.

Why the non-English text in the second picture?  Are you using it on purpose or does it just show up?

I would guess they are using Asian language in Windows.

Would suggest getting a better video card. EMC 9 would work much better.
