I can't get to first base using Roxio Creator 8 Suite to edit large video files on my hardrive for backup on 700MB blank CDs. When I go through the process of selecting the folder where I keep these files, I get this error message:
"There are no media files in this folder that match the filter settings. To change the filter settings, click the Filter for Media Types button."
Needless to say, I can find no "filter settings" or "Media Types button." Ditto when I use Help and the VideoWave Help Center.
Can anyone help me make these changes so that I can make the necessary edits to fit these files on blank CDs?
Thank you.
P.S. I think it significant that "Filter" and "Media Types" are capitalized in the second sentence, but I don't know why.
P.P.S. While I'm at it, does anyone know if they are making larger CDs than the standard 80 minute / 700MB ones?

Regarding Filter setting: I remember having similar problem involving audio files. I did a Repair and the problem went away. Here is the thread on that.

In addition to what Jess said, if you are looking at backing up large video files, then a CD is not the way to go. Get a DVD burner.

Or consider a second hard drive to store them on.
