Hello,
I started a music disc from a disc image and intentionally left the session open so I could add tracks. When I select disc information, I am told the disc is recordable, but the message at the bottom right of the screen tells me "this is not a recordable CD". When I look under drive properties, the window shows that the disk has nothing on it. I use my burner mostly for making compilation CD's, so it is important that I be able to add to disks over time. I could find no info in help as to whether burning from a disc image automatically closes the session after the burn is through. Between burning problems on the my PC, and that hunk of junk Sony CDR-WC500 deck I bought ( if you think about buying one of their recorder decks, don't!), I have been throwing away a lot of discs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think you are seeing a 'timing' issue. If you start with a New Project then import the files from the CD you will be OK.
If you put anything in the Project window before you import previous sessions, you can't use anything but a blank disc.
See if that works for you. Good to keep a couple of RW discs around to practice with until you learn how to use the program.

Thanks for your reply. I don't see an option to import a previous session. From the moment I insert the CD
I started, CD Creator tells me that it is not a blank CD. However, if I pull down disc information from the toolbar, that tells me the disc is recordable, and how much space and time are left. The tracks I have already burned show up in the upper window, but anything I attempt to add brings up the warning "please insert a blank CD." I have made multi-session discs with my old V. 3, of this product with no problem. I selected the option to neither finalize the session or the disc so I could add tracks and still be able to use the disc on a standard CD player, so I don't understand why the program doesn't recognize that the disc is still burnable. If it helps my Pc is a 486 with Windows 98se, and my burning drive is a TEAC CD-W54E. Could there be something I need to download from Microsoft? As I said, I know this drive can burn this type of disc because it has done so in the past. I am using disc image at the moment because my other CD-Rom can't seem to read any disc that is not perfect, and I can't afford to replace it right now.
