Good Day everyone,
I am trying to make a movie in MyDVD8. At the main menu, I add the video I want, which is an AVI file, 12.6 GB. But when I go into edit movie, I don't see the movie broken down into scenes. How do I get the scenes to show up so that I can add the effects I want? I know that I can delete the movie and then add all the scenes of the movie from the media selector, but this doesn't make sence why I would need to do that.
That is my minor problem.
The major problem that I am having is creating chapters of my movie to go to, "link" to, selected scenes in my home video. As I said, I can add my movie to my main menu. Then I have gone to edit chapters and did the scene detection with the option at the bottom which say's to create chapters and link to the scenes I chose. I do this ( I choose three scenes I want) and a submenu of chapters is created under the movie that I added on the main menu. This looks like what I want. But when I select a chapter, which is in the middle of the movie, it just goes to the first scene. It's not linking to the scene I chose after the detection process. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to do this correctly. How do I create chapters of movies that will link to the proper scene. I know that I could make the movie with all the effects I want, without chapers, but I would like to have chapter selection in my home videos.
Thank you,
Ward

You can create scenes in MyDVD but you will need to use Videowave first to add your transitions, effects and do any cutting you want. You can then save the file and use it in MyDVD.
