I am becoming familiar with using EMC8. My question is this: Why are the individual images in the slideshow I create with MyDVD not as sharp as the original images when viewed as a .jpeg file with a good (PaintShopPro) photo application?
For example, in the original photo the typescript in the caption is crisp and clear. It is fuzzy, as is the photo in general, when I view the created DVD either on the same computer used to view the original or played with a console DVD player on my (moderately good ) TV monitor.

You could try setting the Application Setting to Software mode, in VideoWave and see if the slide show is better.

Thanks, Bruce. How do I find such a setting, please? I opened VideoWave and did not see it. Remember that I am sorta new with and ignorant of this software and have not seen nor understand all the thousands of settings, options, formats, etc., etc.

Thanks for your help again, Bruce. I did as you said. I created the slideshow again with the same result. The script (the font was Times New Roman) and the images were noticeably fuzzier than the originals

You will lose some quality when creating a video out of those photos. It is the nature of the beast.
