What I'm trying to do is move my tapes from 8mm to MiniDV. I have avi files that I've captured and would
now like to trim them and write them back to a camera with MiniDV. (1394 is two way is it not?) This seemed
easy in other tools I've used (or other cameras I can't remember).

Is there a tool in VideoWave8 or am I missing something extremely simple. Please tell me I can do this
as Sony seems to be walking away from 8mm and I am definitely walking away from SONY.

You camcorder must be able to record that way. If so, File – Output Production To, select DV Camcorder.

Ah but of course. Thanks. Now that I found it, it seems obvious! Works like a charm.

It always seems obvious after someone points it out…

Glad to hear you got it working!
