Attempted to created a DVD using a VCR tape using Plug & Burn.  Got a disk error when I tried to play it.
Can someone tell me the correct process and what to use in order to creat the DVD.
Thank Andy

Does EMC 8 actually recognize your VCR?   How do you have it connected to your computer.  It has to be through a capture card.

In short, forget about using Plug and Burn.  If you get your video captured to the hard drive, you can use MyDVD to burn it to a disc.

A few points for what they are worth from another "newbie" in this forum.
1.  I have successfully used EMC7 and EMC8 to convert many VCR tapes to DVD
2.  The advice and comments I have gotten from this forum is VERY  valuable.  I sincerely thank those who have responded!  Such service, in my opinion, should be provided by the software sellers that took my money for their product...but that is another subject
3.  I suggest, Andy, that you become familiar with the use of this forum including more information in your signature about your computer equipment. >Go to "my controls"  at the top of this page.
4.  A video capture card, as has been pointed out, is essential I believe to use EMC8 for converting VHS to DVD.  I use a Hauppage PCI video card that I (NO EXPERT!) installed in my computer myself.
5.  Enjoy...and try to keep the frustration and cussin to a minimum  :)
