Foe those who may have purchased the Microsoft Digital Image Suite which includes the  Pinnacle Studio. Do not install this product with Creator 9 Suite. You will have major problems running both software packages. If you have installed the Pinnacle product,  no problem use the windows restore function to move you back prior to the install.

Interesting, people do have the Pinnacle Studio and EMC 9. Do you know if the Microsoft software (Pinnacle) has a packet writing program included? It is well known that only one packet writing program can be installed on a computer at a time. The one in EMC is Drag-to-Disc. It is installed with EMC 9 but is listed separately in Windows Add/Remove programs. Did you try to remove D2D and see if the programs work nice together?

Just took a look at the Avid site and found that Studio does have a packet writing program called "Instant Write"  You may want to remove one or both of them.  These programs are good for short term (very short) putting of information onto a disc to move to another computer but do have a tendency to lose the data (pictures) without warning.  Whichever program you use, do not use these programs for long term storage of anything valuable.
