hello,  bought creater8 about a year ago- to edit out commercials and add fantastic transitions, and create my own dvd--well i've been through it all- it works, it doesn't work, it freezes, reinstalled 10 times, hotfix many times!!!!!! tried everything the group has suggested. have been through all the media circus-yes dash media works best--but i am officially giving up..... now using a trial of video redo--no problems with video and audio---it is so simple!!! no transitions--but you can't have everthing. why is this software so difficult, and costly.  signing off :) louise

Video ReDo is great for splitting MPEG2 files.  I used to use it all of the time.  It is faster than VideoWave, and you can bring the final MPEG2 into VideoWave to add text, or whatever else you want in your production.

Try splitting out your uneeded portions of the video, with Video ReDo, then bring it into VideoWave for whatever else you want to do.  See if you still have the A/V sync problems.

I can second VideoReDo but Videowave 9 is much better than 8 at taking out commercials.  However, don't spend the money yet on 9 until you're sure it's not a problem with your system.  However, as good as VW 9 is, it's not as fast as a dedicated commercial stripper like VideoReDo. Videowave does so much more.
