Is it not showing up in windows device manager, is there a error showing?
Or Roxio software doesn't see it?

Depending on your answer to cdanteek's question, you can try this.

King,
You need to answer the questions asked!
Does Roxio see the burner?
In xp click start, right click my computer, click properties. A system properties window opens. Click the hardware tab, click device manager. At the top of this window click view, make sure a dot is next to review devices by type. Now click the + next to DVD/CD-Rom drives. Do you see any yellow exclamation marks? Right click the Sony 810A and click properties. A window opens click the details tab, mine shows Px716A_______1.09. Your Sony should show 810A______1.0d or 1.0e. Please tell us what it says?

Now click the + next to display adapters. Mine says Radeon x1300 series. Please post what yours says.

By the way your Sony DRU 810A is a OEM BenQ Burner, either a 1640 or 1650 a nice burner.
