I have produced a slide show with pictures and an audio sound track using the Slide Show Assistant, and it looks and sounds great when I have it "previewed". Then when I click on "burn a CD", I get a placard saying that before this can be done, "MPEG-2 must be activated". The placard gives me the option to select "OK" or to close and abort the disk burning operation. Obviously I select "OK", but when I do, I get another placard telling me that Roxio is connecting to the Roxio internet web so that it can activate the product. The action icon (sand clock) flips around a few times (sometimes a minute or more) and then I get a message that "an error occurred and the product could not be activated. please try again later." This happens over and over when I "try again later". Anybody have any ideas how to resolve this so I can burn a CD of the completed slide show (which runs and looks great in the "preview" mode)?

You are doing nothing wrong. It is a huge bug on the Roxio side, one they know about and are trying to address. Just keep trying, and hopefully it will connect.
