Hello. I've been using Roxio since its beginning at Adaptec.  I have tons of cds that I've burned. I have now upgraded to version 9.  I cannot open any previous cd projects made with any versions. It tries to open them up but says they're a data project and there was an error. I most recent;y used version 7.5 because I could never get version 8 to work at all.

Should I be able to open saved audio cd projects from versdion 7.5?  If so, how? :)

They definitely won't open in Creator Classic because Creator Classic lost the ability to create Audio CDs starting with version 8.  If they'll open at all, it would be in Music Disc Creator, but I wouldn't count on that.  Roxio has never been good about keeping the ability to open the previous version's project files in the "next" version.

Hi Katie,

Version 9 won't use .ROXIO or .DMSA files from even version 8, so I'm afraid you can kiss Version 7.5 audio project files goodbye.

I did find that Creator Classic 9 will use version 8's Creator Classic .RCL data project files, but that's no use to you I'm sorry to say.

How about ".dmsm" and ".dmsd" files from EMC 7.5 VideoWave and DVD Builder?

They will open, but any transitions and text that you have in them, will be lost. :)
