DVDs Slow To Load

I have an application that I'm releasing on DVD. I am creating hybrid DVDs with Toast 7, but the DVDs are slow to load, 10 secs before the disk icon appears and a couple minutes before the 30 meg application loads. Is there a way to create DVDs that load faster? Is this typical for Toast?

This isn't an area in which I have much expertise, but the brand of and speed rating of the media can make a difference. Some drives have trouble reading some media. This can be particularly true of older drives with newer media. Verbatim DVD media usually is tested by manufacturers for the drive firmware, so give that a try. Also see if it makes a difference when you burn the disc at no greater than 4X speed.
