I've made a few DVDs with widescreen video files, but when I play them on a normal-screened television, the sides get cut off. Normally, a widescreen DVD should shrink down to fit itself in the screen. What actually happens with the DVDs I'd created with EMC9 is that they stretch to fit the screen vertically and crop the sides, losing some of the picture.
Is there any way to have the DVDs created by this program automatically resize themselves the way normal widescreen DVDs do?
Thanks,

MyDVD creates true anamorphic widescreen output - meaning the black bars are NOT encoded in the file. Proper playback is then a function of your DVD player. Make sure your DVD player is set for letterbox (not pan/zoom or widescreen).

Hmmm. I did already try all the formats of my DVD player, in fact I tried it on 3 of them, and they are normally set at letterbox. But I might have missed something. I'll give it another whirl.
