I know I tempt your collective wrath but I can't find a recent thread dealing with this issue.

I attempted to make a copy  of  Dusty Springfield's  greatest hits but found it failed after the first 2 tracks

I used "Copy" cd and dragged the whole therein

Should this have worked?

Wrath? I like Dusty Springfield, too.

Duplicate the CD by using the Copy window. But burn at the slowest speed that is supported by your drive and media. That may be 8X. Audio CDs often have errors if burned at high speed.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Many thanks for the advice

I draw the line at Barry Manilow though!
