Downloaded creator 7 update esdto430.exe because I had originally ourchased Creator 7 through Roxio internet. When trying to load the update the following message appears: " Upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer because the program to be upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program". My program was working fine until a few days ago when it would not allow me to burn dvd from either new or old projects. Just says DVD Builder has encountered a program and shuts down. Any ideas?

Your downloaded version may have already included the update. There is a full version update for version 7, which involves downloading the entire version, again. It is newer than what is shown as an update on the Roxio main webpage.
You have to contact Roxio to get access to it, though.

After you get your program reinstalled.
Check your version of Internet Explorer and see if you've got IE7. That 'breaks' DVD Builder and you've got to uninstall it and go back to V6.

Thanks for the help. I have checked to make sure that i don't have Internet Explorer 7 and I don't. Checked in hidden updates. Also, have gone through virus, ad ware, spyware checks, no problems. have Windows Xp updates. Have tried reloading Creator 7 twice aftyer erasing it. Basically, DVD Builder won't allow me to burn a dvd, either old or new projects. after I hit "add a Title" it loads at the bottom but that is as far as the program goes.
again thanks for the help.
