I am new to roxio 8 and cannot preview my photos in the slideshow assistant. The photos load ok and I put in audio and picture duration etc. All is well then I click on " Preview" and I get the remote control and click on that and nothing happens. I then try clicking on "next" and the "customize slideshow" appears and click on "Video wave" I cant preview in any of these instances. This is a frustation program please help. Bill

I know that slide show assistant looks easy and is supposed to work nice but sometimes it gives people problems. Try starting with Video Wave ans see if that works.
Please post your computer specifications. Do you meet the minimum specs.
Also and most importantly, update the drivers for your video device and make sure you have the latest version of Intel's DirectX 9c. If you don't know what your video set up is, go to Windows start, run, type in dxdiag and then OK. Look at the display tab and post what it says for device. If you post that, perhaps we can help you find the updated drivers.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
