It seems the movies and not so much the slides are the problem I am facing. I have tried every way to burn my slideshow with movies (Keynote and PowerPoint presentations, as image files, as QT or PPT .mov).

The ONLY way I can get the slide presentation to work and include the objects (text etc) is to export all slides as an IMAGE file, burn to Video DVD. I get the video-ts and audio-ts files on the disc. Fine, But

No sound plays. I can find no way to burn my QT movies so as to play and include sound when played on my DVD player. Nor can I attach audio files to the slide show. I get Mac OS Error or that movies are unsupported format.

I can place movies in my slide show and it all plays on the computer. Is there no way to burn this same slide show onto video disc to play in my dvd player?

G4, OS 10.4.8, QT 7.1.3, Toast 6.1.1

No version of Toast includes audio with DVD slide shows. The only way to include the audio is to export your Keynote and Powerpoint presentations as movies and then make a video DVD from the movies. Or you can use Motion Pictures (bundled with Toast) to create a movie with audio from your exported images. Just eliminate any pans or zooms in Motion Pictures so each image is full frame.

iDVD lets you add an audio track to the slide shows it creates. You will need to export the audio as its own file and add it to iDVD once you've created the slide show.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
