I was trying to do a simple dvd burn the same way as I have done in the past and once it got to the encoding progress window, no progress was ever shown, even after many hours. Clicking on cancel or close the window shows a brief flash of the orange progress bars as being close to complete if not complete. Never got to the actual disk burning stage. No error codes ever appeared. Can anyone help? Would just having played the movie I wanted to burn with media player and not rebooting have caused the problem? Everything looked fine in the preview. Thnaks.

were you burning to disc or saving to a disc image? you mentioned you been doing it the same way in the past...so i would ask what changed? do you remember installing new software? updating anything? makes me wonder it worked before and now it doesn't. please list down your video card, firmware version, and current drivers...or did the reboot fix the problem?
