I've tried most of the AVI compression Codecs listed and only a few seem to work.

No compression works well but makes huge files.

Some work but with not the best motion and quality. Others give me errors such as " Operation Build on Capturemanager failed" and "Failed to build capture graphic".
Yet others seem to capture the audio but offer up small files with a blank green screen.

Why are all the options listed if so many don't work ... Are they supposed to work? Do I have to obtain something else to make them work?

I am still having issues with MPEG2 motion artifacats that do not appear when I capture as an AVI.. But I would expect that some amout of compression could be selected with the AVI format.

Does anyone have experiebnce on what AVI compression settings create the best image quality and video motion and at the same time offer some reasonable compression?
