Briefly: When I open VideoWave and want to add transitions, it'll just hang...nothing. I can't add text or overlays or video effects either. Most everything else works with the Suite (MyDVD, Plug & Burn, etc.) albeit somewhat buggy, but without transitions, what's the point of editing with it? I've clean installed, re-installed, you name it.

Here's stats:
Dell 8100
Intel 4, 1.8 Ghz
512 Ram
2 x 80 Gig HD
Radeon 9800 Pro 128 mb
Rolled back to IE6, too

Help!

Make sure you have the latest drivers for that 9800 Pro.

[size=7]I'm having the same problem. The program freezes when I attempt to add a transition. My drivers are all current. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Charley, do you have the exact same video card and DirectX 9c as the original poster? If yours is different, or if you don't have a card; just video chips on your mother board, the program may not work for your set up. You may even have a completely different computer. :)

In the future, even though you see the same symptom it doesn't mean you have the same solution so you need to start your own thread. By hijacking a thread, you create confusion because no one knows who is replying to whom.

I have the same problem with adding transitions. I reported this early in another thread. I have an ATI AIW 9600 with 256 Mb with the latest Catalyst driver. What I did to get around the problem is use one of the transition themes and then delete and change the transitions between the slide frames that I wanted different.

Hello, I am having similar problems with transitions in Videowave 9 which I did not have with VWIII nor with Videowave 7 Professional. But, in addition, when I apply a transition to a video project, I get the error message "Videowave has encountered a problem and needs to shut down", followed by the error report to Microsoft. Very annoying since, as stated, prior versions work adequately in this regards.
