Hi
I have just taken delivery of a new Dell Dimension with XP Pro and Sonic DigitalMedia LE v7 pre-installed. From within the adminstrators account the Sonic software starts up okay and I can burn CDs fine. The problem comes when I have finished and I exit the software (apparently ok) but then if I want to use it again it will not restart without logging off and back on again.
I have noticed that the application Mediahub.exe seems to be running as a process. If I stop it then I can get Sonic to open up correctly.
Why is this happening and what can I do about it?

Contact Dell, as they provide all support for their OEM version of the Sonic software.
Their OEM version has very few features, see here..... http://www.sonic.com...Studio/new.aspx

Hi
I have just found that (I think) that the software works fine if I block access to Mediahub.exe using ZoneAlarm.
So I believe problem is now solved!
Thanks for the advice

I am finding that Windows Media Player 11 causes this problem. Did a clean install of the OS and OEM software on both a Sony and a Dell. As soon as I install WMP 11, the "mediahub.exe" problem occured. Rolling back to remove just WMP 11 solved the problem.
It would be nice if Sonic fixed this.

WMP 11 is the problem. I have Sonic DigitalMedia 7 and it does the same thing on exit. I also have Roxio Easy Media Center 7 and WMP 11 causes it to crash also. I have contactd Sonic and all they say is these programs are not compatible and for me to go back to WMP 10. Some help!
