I have just completed a clean install of Easy Media Creator 9 but found that when I tried to exit the progam it would just hang. The only way I was able to shut it down was using Windows Task Manager (Ctrl/Alt/Delete). I heard that EMC 9 had issues but I took the plunge anyway.
So here I am asking if anyone has a clue as to what I can do to remedy this problem.

:) I too am having problems with freezes in the program.  I am trying to convert CD music to MP3 files and my system freezes requiring a reboot to clear.  I just bought this software hoping to cure some of the Roxo Media Creator 8 problems.  Did I just waste nearly $100? HELP!

:)  I am having the same problem with Creator 8 (Creator Classic app).  This is the reaason I have not upgraded to version 9.  If a fix for this problem is not forthcoming soon, I will switch to Nero.  I am a programmer and I would not tolorate such poor quality in anything I wrote.  We can't avoid bugs, it comes with the territory, but we should fix major problems quickly and not ship a new major release before fundamental bugs are addressed in the current version!

Geez, Mark.  It doesn't happen to me or many others.  That won't help you, but if the alleged bug can't be recreated by Roxio, then how would they fix it?

Odd too is the fact that you joined and made one posting 8 months ago, not releated to this problem.

If I am reading between the lines, you have been running trouble free for 8 months now you are in a ranting frenzy.

I believe the problem is Drag-to-Disk 9.  There is a seperate add/remove program item for DTD in Control Panel Add/Remove programs.  I removed DTD and everything worked fine.  I then reinstalled DTD8 by doing a custom install and choosing only DTD.  Computer is happy.  Shuts down, reboots and also boots much faster.  There had been about a thirty second delay before I would get the welcome screen.  Not true now.
