Hello again,  Here I am, again with a problem, then again maybe it's me. :D

Here's the scoop for your analysis:

After building my project, I built the ISO file without a problem. I could see the encoding was going well monitoring the encoding "movie preview" box.  Then proceeded to burn the ISO file to a DL disk using EMC9 disk copier. Everything went smooth.

Come to play the video and all I get is audio and a black screen. :)

Am i missing something here?

Thanks!
Serge

To test the ISO...
Run Disc Copier
In source, select Disc Image/Video folder
Navigate to the iso on the left
In the right hand side you should see the movie file
Just above that, should be a little monitor. Click that to preview the ISO.

Does that show the movie? If so, it could be a bad burn or something with the player.

Thanks for the tip!  So many bells and whistles that I never noticed that one. :D  :D  Tried that and the movie was playing fine in it. Possibly it was a hickup with the burner or the disk.  In any event, my second attempt was fine. :)

Hickups like this sure make for expensive coasters! LOLOL :D

Thanks again!

:D

Using the preview is a good way to test the ISO before you burn it, too.

Hello everyone!

Well, the saga continues. :D The following attempt, the ISO was built correctly and I was able to preview it, as mentionned above, without any problem. Burn the DL DVD and about half-way through the burn, EMC9 crashed with an HEX code. Another coaster... Sigh.

So, I rebuild the ISO, verify that the ISO was correct and proceed to burn the DVD. This time, it stopped at 99% complete and stayed like that for about 30 minutes at which point I killed the application. :)

Has anyone else run into this situation? Any suggestions as to where to look for possible details about the cause of this?

Regards and thanks,
