Just got Creator 9 (Content cd is another issue I have posted). I was making a backup of a DVD we have and followed the same steps I did in Roxio 7 and 8 - used DVD decrypter to create .vob files on hard drive and then used Disc Copier to burn DVD, but when I tried to play it using Power DVD, it would look like it was going to start and then it would go back to the title screen. I then tried it on other computers and DVD players and it doesn't load. Tried using DVD info pro and all it said was "read errors".

I uninstalled Roxio 8 using roxio's clean install instructions, checked for driver updates ,did a disk cleanup, defrag, thought I had all my ducks in a row...guess not. Any ideas? Thanks much and...

Help!

Inspiron 9300
512 Ram
128MB ATI Radeon X300
80GB Fujitsu Hard Drive
Windows XP Home SP2
NEC DVD +-RW ND-6500

Why are you using a decrypter unless you are trying to copy a commercial DVD? In which case you will not get any help here. If its a DVD you created yourselv why not just use DiscCopier?

It is a commercial DVD which we purchased and legally we are allowed to make a backup copy. I have a handicapped child who misplaces things, and one at college where things grow legs and walk away, so on occasion, backups are necessary. The same thing happened when I tried to burn a dvd of home videos that were made in Creator 8 videowave. I had not thought to try that one in disccopier - thanks for the idea.

Attempting to copy any protected DVD is not legal in the US.

This law has been tested several times in our courts and upheld! It is not a subject for discussion or opinions, so the thread is locked…
