Trouble Burning 40 Min. Dvd

Question

I've created a 40 min. DVD for a visitation in iMovie and shared it to a file to burn in Toast 11. The file burns to the DVD, but when I go to play it to make sure it's working properly, the pictures take too long to cycle. In other words, I've set it so the title is 6 seconds long, each "slide" changes every 7 seconds, and the transition is 2 seconds. It's taking way longer than it should. I also have audio files and they all seem to play just fine, but they aren't lining up since I'm missing more than half of the picture "slides". The file is 1.7GB, but it doesn't even take up half the DVD space, so I know that's not the issue. And when I go to preview the file in Toast 11, everything lines up exactly the way I created it in iMovie.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried burning the project in disc image first?

Burn disc in ISO Image.

1. Open Toast and click on the Video tab and choose DVD-Video.
2. Import the video/data that you want to burn.
3. Change the Destination into "Disc Image"
4. Hit "Save" and set the location of the output folder.
5. A .toast file will be created and then proceed to the next steps below.

Burn Created ISO Image disc.

1. In Copy tab function, change the option on the top left corner into "Image File".
2. Click on Select button and browse for .Toast file that you created earlier.
3. Once imported, change the Destination into the Burner drive.
4. You can set the burner settings if you want and if you're ready, you can hit Copy to start the burning process.
5. Wait until the burn process is completed.

How are you trying to burn a DVD? Can you send a detailed step by step that you did?

All I did was just shared the .mp4 file so I could access it. Then what I did is I just clicked on the add file button and clicked burn. It usually burns my DVD's just fine, but I'm having issues with this one project...
