Hi, I hope someone can help me. I am new to Video Wave Premier 8. When I'm trying to edit- while it's in the "Assembling Production" stage, I get an error message that says "Test1 Module has encountered a problem and needs to close.

when u say "assembling production stage", do you mean when you are able to edit the video files showing Storyline or Timeline? if so, when does the error actually happens? can u duplicate it? usually, errors like these are running out of resources. then also, some hardware needs to be up to the latest and greatest drivers and firmware... First lets start on where the error is actually happening...

Also please post your computer specs. It would be helpful if you do so in your signature by going to my Controls. I have never seen that particular error message and could not find it by doing a search of the boards. I think that MonsterFISH is correct and it might be related to your hardware. Does your computer meet the minimum requirements for this program (see below)? They are much more stringent than the ones for earlier versions and often more so than some other programs. You video card/chip drivers must be up to date and you must have the latest version of Intel's DirectX 9c.
System Requirements
- Intel® Pentium® III1.6 GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent required for real-time MPEG-2 capture and burning
- Windows XP Professional, Home or MCE Edition, with Service Pack 2 or later
- Windows 2000, with Service Pack 4 or later
- 256MB RAM (512MB recommended)
- Microsoft Windows Media Player 10.0 or later
- DirectX 9.0c
- CD/DVD recordable drive
- Color video display adapter with at least 16MB VRAM (64MB recommended)
- 1024 x 768, 16-bit color graphics card
- 16-bit Windows-compatible sound card
- 1GB of free hard disk space for typical installation of all components
- 1GB of free hard disk space for every 5 minutes of video (for video capture)
- QuickTime 6.5 software recommended
