Vhs-To-Dvd Won't Install On Windows 10 Pc

Question

I have a new HP high-end desktop running Win 10 Home 64-bit...lot's of speed, memory & storage. I have tried multiple times to load my new Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus software from CD. It seems to load ok, says I have to reboot, and I then download the software patch from Corel/Roxio which says it is for Win 10 compatibility. It is the only update shown. I do another reboot. When I then try to start the software, two squares appear with one pulsing in the other saying words about "rendering", and ultimately the blue Roxio box comes up. (That box notes it is build 301B91B VH3.) Then nothing else happens....spinning circle forever. A ctrl-alt-delete shows Roxio as unresponsive so I close it out after maybe 10 minutes. As I said, I've loaded this twice now, using Revo to uninstall as suggested in other postings on this subject. Other posts have said to only download two updates from within the application, but since the application never starts for me, that is impossible....and I only see one update at the Roxio site.

I have a request for help into Corel/Roxio....wish I felt that would be a timely response. Meanwhile, any thoughts???? Thanks.

Same exact problem. Install on Windows 10, and won't open. Just ordered from Amazon. Downloaded the program, and same pulsing box, followed by Roxio logo, and a spinning cursor. Windows Task Manager shows problem as unresponsive, and its the first time I've ever not been able to close an open program using the Task Manager. I have to restart to make it go away. I noticed on the install disc that is is copyright 2012, so could I just have an old install disc? Anyhow I just wanted to copy some family movies, and am stuck. These folks at Corel opened a service tag for me on Friday, then went home for the weekend. i.e. unresponsive tech support. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't understand your post. You say you ordered from Amazon as a download but then you talk about an "install disc". How can you have an "install disc" if you had a download?

What pulsing box? Where do you see the spinning cursor? Please some more relevant info.

We know it can't be 'downloaded' as it comes with hardware.

Sounds like it did install so let's uninstall it and start fresh.

First make sure the Capture USB device is removed and better yet, put it in another room!

Then go to Control Panel - Programs and Features. Find Roxio EVD and uninstall it

Reboot and start the install from the disc. Do not let it look for any updates!

When it finishes the install - reboot and without the Capture USB device in the room, run the software.

How we doing now? ;)
