I Cant seem to copy a movie on copy & convert, everytime a message pops up that I am missing a file after pressing the copy button. at the same time I discovered that somehow I am missing registry key, that being appdata\local\temp\DC99AA7\VIDEO T_S\. So I cant seem to completely uninstall Creator Next 2Pro.  Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it is a commercial movie, the Roxio program will not copy it.

Did you just try putting the program disc or pointing to the download and select repair (or install) when you get that message?

Many of us use Revo Uninstaller in the Moderate Mode (only).  You may want to download the trial copy of the PRO version since it has a search function if you uninstalled most of NXT2.

You have a limited number of installs.  Contact Roxio-Ralf if you need the count reset.

Thanks for your information which comes in handy especially the counted number of installs and so on. I wanted to say that the message I am getting is as follows. (here was a problem creating a file

C; \ \jimmyrodz\appdata\loca\ltemp\ DC99AA7\video\T,S.\" the Directory name is invalid.  by the way it was a regular home movie, but others gave me same message.  I also tried repair and in 10 seconds it would finish the same.  I will try to attach the message that I get on paint.            Thanks Guru

1) When you post, just use the default script --- bolded or all caps not desired.  Posting the same thing over and over does not enhance your chances of finding a solution.

2) There is no such thing as Roxio nxtpro 2012 !   Please tell us exactly what you have and if it is a commercial product purchase as opposed to an OEM version.  OEM is a free program that comes with  a piece of computer equipment.  Thos are limited in function.

3) You have too many programs open; when you are doing ANY video work, everything should be shut down.  That bottom line on your monitor show more than 20 programs running in the background.

4)  Do you ever do any maintenance on that computer?   Use the free REVO Uninstaller in the Moderate Mode only to get rid of programs you don't need or use.  I see several redundant shortcuts on your screen -- how do you find anything?  Use something like the free  CCleaner to get rid of files that are not needed to give you more space on your hard drive.   Make sure that you have emptied your temp and tmp folders and "proxy" files that Video Wave creates.

5) How much free space do you have on your system drive?    Please post the text file from a dxdiag.exe evaluation of your computer.  Follow these instructions carefully.   It has no personal information except what you named your computer.  Do not copy and paste all the details; just the ext file.

5) I believe you have 20 installs (Nxt 4) but they can be reset.

6) Where did you get that movie --- Mr Holmes?  Is it pirated or ripped from a commercial or pirated DVD?

7)  (SoapBox)  Failure to provide answers or do the tasks  of the 6  items above might close this thread and suspend yourposting  privaleges -- we can't guess without enough honest and accurate information (e.g. name of program you have) that only you can provide (Close SoapBox)

Dear Mr. Guru, I just read your post.  First there is a lot of stuff because my little brother uses it here and there. I also am not to familiar with the Roxio forum windows, so I'm kind of learning it as I go. The Roxio I have is Roxio creator NXT Pro. As far as maintenance yes, every couple of days I clean I optimize and clean files. I have 120 gigs free. As far as that movie it is a rated x parody, and I will take your advice as far as reducing the program that are open. I thank you very much for you taking the time to show me how to improve the computer . I had downloaded the unzipped reg fix file.i still don't know how to apply the reg fix file to the Roxio Creator NXT Pro. By the way the program is Roxio Creator NXT Pro. Sorry for not getting it right the first time.

Thank you again Guru for your help. I am learning as I go. I will send you the text file you want. Please understand I know some things in the computer but when it comes to technical stuff I'm not well learned. Thanks Again. Jimmy

You answered few of my questions.   Regardless, that is a Copy protected movie and in the US, it is illegal to do anything with it except play it! No copies not even for back up purposes.

In this thread, I have now seen Roxio Creator NXT Pro, Roxio Creator NXT 2 Pro and Roxio Creator NXT 2012 Pro  ! It is pretty hard trying to hit a moving target.

If you want to continue with a non-protected video project, please post the dxdiag.exe file as discussed in that link.

There is no Mr Guru.  Guru is an honor bestowed by Roxio on certain people who make frequent value responses.   My screen name is sknis.

In post #6 you said : "I had downloaded the unzipped reg fix file.i still don't know how to apply the reg fix file to the Roxio Creator NXT Pro."

Were did you download this from and WHY.

Stay far away from all such programs. . Cleaning of the registry isn't needed.
