I am runnibg IE6 and modilla on my pc. Also not that everything else in the easy media creator 8 appears to be working fine. The only problem is where ever I try to get videowave to open it starts but the stops and reverts to screen I was at.
Could be a lot of reasons. I assume that you checked that it does not automatically minimize to your desk top.
This fix is for a similar issue with Music Disc Creator It may not fix it but if you are comfortable editing your registry, it might work. If it does, please let us know.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

i dunno....the description of the problem is kinda vague... but i know that all of the videowave8 problems i had, so far went away when i ran this fix. no promises from me, and from not having a very good description of problem...i know the frustrations...i figured you are here to try something to fix the problem...here is the link.
