Dvd Playback Issues

Question

I know this is a often brought up topic (after searching the forums.)

I'm having issues with playback in a DVD Player.

I use the Record, Edit and Save category.

After it is done recording the video. I select DVD and start the burning process. (I use autofit, or span as needed.)

When it is done, it says the project has burned successfully.

If I look at the disc on the PC, it shows the video_ts folder, which indicates it was able to burn the data in dvd format.

When I put it in a DVD player (older) or a blu-ray player (LG), it comes back and says "Incorrect Disc" or "No video" (As useful as these may errors may be).

When I put it into a PC, it plays the DVD Just fine.

What am I missing here? Am I doing something wrong??

I'm using either Memorex or Verbatim DVDs (Same results on both discs)

The videos I'm converting are anywhere between 20 minutes, to 1 hour.

Thanks,

Isaiah

You don't need (I use autofit, or span as needed.) for videos 20 minutes, to 1 hour in play time length!

So tell us the rest of the story?

Even if I don't use that, it still does not play.

I'm not sure there is much more of a story. Is there any other info that you need?

Dvd-R

The Memorex are trash use Verbatim DVDs.

What X burn speed are the -R disc's?

What X burn speed do you burn them at?

As Walt suggested try the disc on several friends DVD players.

Try it on a friends DVD player?

I've tried it on 3 different ones that I have. Still having the same issues. Not only am I trying on DVD players, but i'm also trying on Blu-ray players. I would think the newer (within 3 years old) blu-ray players would play almost anything. Especially in the event I burned a data DVD. It appears I didn't, being there is the video_ts folder.

Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus authors a DVD Video disc.

Try burning at 8X with a Verbatim using HQ High Quality setting in Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus.

Menu or no menu?

NOT related to this issue this time, but NEVER use the Auto Fit!!!

No 'good' will ever come from using it, but plenty of disappointments ;)

I just tested one that did not have a menu, it worked. I'm working on burning one that has a menu to test it and see if it works.
