I had problems making EMC9 work and was advised to completely remove version 8, including all the regedit goodies to make certain any and everything with either Roxio or Sonic was removed from my system. Then, after the reboot, I tried to in stall version 9 but got an error message when I input my registration number that the cd key was invalid. AFter a couple of tried, I thought I might be making some sort of upper/lower case error so I carefully cut and pasted the numbers directly from the purchase confirmation e-mail from Roxio and I still got the cd key error message.
I'm now wondering, since I bought the special discounted upgrade verion, is my version 9 refusing to install because it can't find the qualifying version 8 on my system? If this is the case, is there a workaround?
Thanks,
Tim
