Something is not playing nice so let's try a proper repair first!

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Don’t do any updates at this time (get it running first)

When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that!

When the Repair completes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor 1.8 GHz or AMD Athlon x2 64 2.0 GHz, 2GB RAM

Minimum system requirements are above your 'AMD Sempron Processor LE-1250, ~2.2GHz' is a single core processor.

The x2 stands for two cores.

Memory: 2048MB RAM

Available OS Memory: 1982MB RAM

Page File: 1728MB used, 2236MB available

Your memory is almost used up.

Display Memory: 793 MB

Dedicated Memory: 57 MB

Shared Memory: 735 MB

Your video card has only 57mb of dedicated memory and shares the rest.

Your PC is under the minimum system requirements for the Roxio Game Capture Software.

That is why you can't capture and the system locks up.

Capturing and processing video take plenty of horse power and a under powered PC doesn't do it sorry.

besides getting a new computer is there anything i can do

I wish there was but a single core processor doesn't have the horsepower a dual core has, or what I run, (Processor: Intel® Core i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz) running 8 cores.

So, your second system seems like it should at least give you something. What did you see when you tried it? What error message(s)?
