When I add a video file in videowave and then try to edit it in the video trimmer dialogue box, the video is distorted. It either only shows half the video picture or it's like the vertical hold on an old TV. What's going on?

It's a new computer with a NVIDIA Geoforce 6800-256mb pci express. Shouldn't that do the trick? It only has problems with my .mov video clips.

Just because the computer is new, it doesn't mean that the latest drivers are on it for the video card or any other component that has drivers.

It would have saved some guesswork and some off target responses if you had posted that the issue only occurs with mov files in your first post along with your computer specs.

A few people have reported problems with *.mov files created by digital still cameras like my Konica Minolta. I can use the video part in VideoWave but not the audio (loud static). Where did your files come from. Are you getting good audio? Any other important information that you may have forgotten to post? :)

Sorry if I come off abrupt or curt. i'm just pointing out that more information is better than having to continue to ask questions to get a clear picture of the situation.

With my first post, I didn't realize .movs were the only ones effected. That's why I didn't mention it. And I still get clear audio just the distored pictures in the editing(video trimmer) window.
