I have 6.1.1, and it never lets me burn a DVD-R at 1XDVD. It tries to default me to Best, but if I want to change it, the slowest it offers is 4XDVD. If I manage to trick it into allowing 1XDVD (by selecting it while it's checking the media), it proceeds to burn at Best (a full disk in less than 5 minutes).
I'm using an internal Pioneer 111D. Why is proper 1XDVD burning offlimits?
Why won't it let me burn 1XDVD?

Why would you want to burn so slow. The slowest I do with a Pioneer 110-D is 4x using Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-r.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
