After entering into EDIT VIDEO and selecting a file to edit, the audio does not match the video.  I downloaded the 8.05 patch, but when I try to install the patch, I get a message that I have the wrong version.

I did something before to correct this issue, but I can't seem to remember what I did.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Jim

The update is only for the boxed commercial version. I'm wondering if you have the downloaded version installed as this update doesn't work with it.

"...This updater is intended for CD-ROM purchases acquired from a retail vendor only. Do not apply this update if you have downloaded your version of Easy Media Creator 8...."

Let us know what version you are using and also your system specs

This was a package purchased at the store, however, while looking around my saved files, I found a hotfix that corrected the problem.

http://tools.roxio.c...vrms_hotfix.exe

I don't know what it does, but it fixed the audio delay problem.  I still don't understand why the update file EMC 8.05 patch doesn't work.  I saw the message about the retail version versus the downloaded one and I do have the retail package.

Check on the version number (in Help, About) - it's possible yours is already updated
