Here's the problem: burning 10 video clips to a DVD about 3.5 gig total size. All of the clips play fine on the pc. using EMC9 burn them to a dvd -r or a dvd+r disk and the first video on the menu drops and skips and studders all the way through. other videos play fine. i rearrange the videos and same result the first one skips and studdrs all other play fine this is very frustrating any help would be great.

I am a little confused. Are you saying the burnt DVDs always play find on a PC and not in a DVD player attached to the TV? If so, there are only a couple of possible causes:
1) Media, the player might just not liked the discs you are burning to.
2) Make sure the option for buffer underrun prevention (its an advanced option) is turned off when burning. Many DVD players don't like discs made using that function.
