I am having terrible problems with MyDVD crashing and when I do get something to finally burn to a DVD... the audio is totally out of sync.
I used DVDBuilder in version 6 and didn't have any sync issues, using these same AVI files. The files were created in Premiere Pro 2 (not captured in Roxio software) and don't have any sync issues if I watch a preview of the DVD.
I have reloaded drivers... upgraded media player... rendered using hardware and software... run the app with nothing else running in the background. Nothing seems to cure the problem.
Is anyone else having this issue? I would go back to 6, but I really need to be able to customize the menus more.
I'm VERY unhappy with this purchase. It has created a lot of extra work for me and I'm still not able to finish this...

Jeff, What are your computer specs? Especially your video card/chip.? How long is the video? Did you try burning the project to an iso file and then copying that to your DVD blank?
Unfortunately you left too many questions unanswered in your original post. I know that you are frustrated but please, in order to get the help you need, more information is needed.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I have a Dell with dual 2 ghz Pentium Xeon chips - 1 gig of Ram - 250 gig of open HD space - I have a 64 meg Nvidia Quadro4 700 XGL video card (all with current drivers). I tried running this so that it used only software to render, instead of hardware, so I don't think that the card should make that much of a difference (if I understand it correctly).
I have also tried burning this to an ISO file, but with no success. The project that I'm trying to finish is about 2.5 hours worth of video. I've tried tests with smaller (a few minutes) worth of footage and it seems to work and remain in sync, but the longer piece fails every way I've tried to slice it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about just ditching this whole system and going with a mac...
Thanks,
Jeff D.

Wow... it took only two hours for someone to reply and tell me that I wasn't giving enough info. But now that I've given the info I'm still waiting for any kind of real response 5 days later.
What is the return policy on this app?

I don't know what to tell you that would help. That video card won't work well at all, with EMC 9 and could be part of the problems that you are having. Is your computer a laptop? If not, update to a standalone video card.
You may get a 2.5 hour .iso file, but I am not sure if EMC 9 will cut it off at 2 hours. If you get up and running ok, you could try it.
As far as the return policy, contact Roxio Customer Service. This is just a users forum.
