I made a slide show with background music. It played fine on the computer when I previewed it before burning it. When I burned it to disk(DVD-RW and DVD-R) the music at the beginning skips for about the first 30 secs., then it's fine. I tried playing it in two different DVD players and the result was the same. When I play the disk in the computer, it plays fine as well. Please help!!

If it plays on your computer, the software has done its job.
Maybe your DVD players don't like -- disk's.

Yea, that must be it!! Thanks, can anyone give real advice? Maybe someone out there that has experienced the same thing!!
Oh my. You certainly dissed the wrong person. All of us have had that situation one time or another, and he is absolutely correct. Try a different brand/type of media. If your DVD plays well on your computer, your burn was good, and your set top doesn't like the media type, brand, or speed of the burn.
Life is good!

Sorry, didn't mean to diss anyone, really!! It's just that I'v tried that already. I'v copied to two different types of DVD. First, it was a DVD-RW, next I tried DVD-R. And I'v tried two completely different players for both types of DVD's that I used. Mine and the one at work. I got the same results every time. The same skip in music in the first part of my slideshow. In fact, the one at work was actually a little worse than my player at home. What type of DVD recordable disk can you guys recommend? Or more specifically, what brand usually works best? If any?
Check out the user manuals on your players/or their websites. Try different brands, maybe + disks.

Hope none of the above pisses you off.
