On the bottom right hand corner of TOAST setup window there is a large, round red button.

I have just noticed that just above that button is a small button that lets you select what you'll be burning to: CD, DVD, or DVD-DL.

When I am burning to a DVD DL how important is to make that setting DVD DL ?

Since that button is so small it does not seem very important or is it?

What happens to a burn if I don't make the correct choice.

LC520 (my first iMac), 3 other PowerPC legacy Mac's, iMac G3, iMac 3.06GHz
maybe you like the world in gray I prefer c o l o r f u l l

The button is used to show you how much space your files are taking up on each of the different media. It doesn't make a difference if you burn a cd and have DVDDL selected as it is only a guide to space.
