Ok, I have 7.5 and ran into the 7.5 vs IE7 issue last night. I've been running IE7 beta for awhile and didn't have an issue. However, now I have the full version and 7.5 DVD builder fails.

OK, older version of software, no problem, just upgrade. I don't have an issue with that. However, from what I've been reading here, there is no guarantee that Version 9 will work with IE7.

The other thing I need cleared, projects created under 7.5 can't be opened by version 9? Hate to say it, but that could be a deal breaker here. If I have to redo projects anyway ...

Please, someone more knowledgeable than me, can you help?

As for IE7 working with 9, it does for me on the 1 system I've have IE7 and 9 installed on. This sticky note dated 10/19/06 says it's working and I've not seen recent posts showing otherwise. It's been reported that there will be no fix for IE7 and 7.5.
I no longer have 7.5 installed so I can say from first hand experience that those projects won't work with 9 but that's what I've read. I thought I saw a work around but in a quick look, couldn't find it.

EMC 9 and IE 7 (release version) work fine together.
EMC 7/7.5 and IE 7 do not work together.
EMC 7/7.5 projects are not compatible with EMC 9 (at least none of mine have ever worked). DVD Builder and Videowave were re-engineered starting with v 8, that's why they are not backward compatible.

You can uninstall IE 7, then finish the v 7.5 projects before moving on to v 9 for new projects.

For myself, when it came down to IE 7 vs EMC 7/7.5, EMC won hands down, as it has something of value to offer me. IE 7 offers nothing that I need or want. So I run EMC 9 and 7/7.5 and no IE 7.
