Has anyone or can it be done, move some effect transitions from DVD builder EMC7 to the content folder in EMC 8 and have it function.  There are a few that I used quite often that are not on the MYDVD software.  This was a film type overlay that scrolled on the sides of a picture (movement) to simulate an old 8mm projector.  There are also a couple more like the arrows that danced around.  The other overlay or effect was the simulated REC feature to look as though it was being recorded through a camera.  I do have the effect but does not function the same unless I set the blink motion in scroll but then will make the entire effect blink and not just the REC text.
I am using the hardware rendering option and seem to have all but maybe someone has these features already in EMC8.  Please let me know if you do. Thanks in advance.

I also miss many of those overlays.  You can use them manually--going to search for them, then using the chroma key to get rid of the background--but it doesn't always look right.

I've read through the posts here and turned on hardware rendering but no luck seeing the Overlays.  I specificly use the "Stars" overlay.  If I use it manually by adding it to the overlay track and use the chroma key, it looks horrible!

Is that the only way to use v7.5's overlays in v8?

I also used the old projector overlay and some others that are not in 8.  Extrememly frustrating!  But what's worse is that while it will allow editing of overlays...it will not allow editing of special effects which renders most of them useless.  I really feel ripped off.  this is not an upgrade but a downgrade.

It's really not being ripped off but more so not having these added with the other abundance of overlays in ver 8.  I just want to be able to import these if that would work....any ideas anyone?

Where is the chroma key?

That would be great if you could use the transitions, etc from version 7.5. You had paid for them
I don't know but maybe it has to do with the fact that roxio uses my dvd  in version 8 vs dvd builder in version 7.5
