You gave about as much information as the other hit and run posters. You haven't said what you tried.

Still looking for a solution provided I didn't offend with my lack of forum etiquette and non-technical demeanor as Roxann was useless and haven't heard back from tech support yet.
My issue and actions so far:
From Start/Program/Roxio menu, select Media Mgr and it appears to be coming up with flash screen and then I get the following error window:
>MediaManager: MediaManager8.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x6010828b" referenced memory at "0x01daffd8". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program<
Another window sometimes appears after that with a similar message but different locations (see the other hit-n-run poster's message as it looks similar).
Rest of my particulars:
-Windows XP, system set for best performance.
-System exceeds minimum requirements; though older system.
-EMC Version 8 is what I am using.
-Uninstalled EMC8, checked the memory, cleaned up the memory, no viruses/etc (Norton), and reinstalled EMC8.
-All other EMC8 appl from the suite seem to be working except for Media Manager.
Thought the 8.05 version update might fix it (silly me!) but that doesn't even work as it states I may have a different version than 8.0 (which I don't) or the program to be upgraded is missing (this is likely caused by the Media Manager issue...... though the installation indicated no problems).
-No other memory problems or application problems - just EMC8.0 Media Manager.
-Not updated to EMC8.05; the update failed and the Version hasn't changed.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
What is better than EMC8 for copy/edit/and burn on Windows?
Should I get a Mac and not worry about crap like this?

My bad, already have Version 8.05.....still doesn't solve my Media Manager Application error though.

Was there ever any resolution to this issue. I am experiencing the exact same problem. I tried a repair and a reinstall but I still get the memory error when trying to launch Media Manager.
Roxio... is there any solution to this. If you need more info please let me know.
System Info:
Windows XP Pro SP2
AMD Athlon X2 4200+
2GB Memory
Nvidia Gefore 6800 GT
Note: My system is clean (and always has been) of any viruses or trojans and all other programs run optimally.
