My DVD 8 came on my computer, but I like EMC9 better should I uninstall My DVD 8 or just leave it? I was not sure if EMC9 used anything from MD8.

You can remove it if you don't plan on using it. After uninstalling, reboot and remove any leftover folders in the Roxio directory.
