Help,
Was using Toast 5.2.3 on my eMac, 10.4.8; had to get a new hard drive; and when I reloaded the original Toast 5 CD, I could not open the application; tried resetting the PRAM, rebuilding the desktop, trashing all the preferences, and nada; it tries to open and then closes up;  plus, I would like to get the download for 5.2.3; its really all I need (with the accompaning Jam that I haven't reloaded yet).  Help.  and thanks.

The original Toast 5 installer worked in OS 9. Can your eMac boot into OS 9 or does it only run Classic? It might work in Classic but I doubt it. For awhile Roxio offered a Toast 5 install disc that worked in OS X but they don't support Toast 5 any more. Toast 7 has been offered for sale at very steep discounts. I think you should go that direction if you don't have an installed version of Toast 5.2.3 backed up some where.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I must have one of those install discs; I have it installed on my older iMac in school; I install it on the eMac, and then try to open it and it tries to open and then shuts down; I think its an OS mistake I'm making, but I'll be darned if I know what it is; thanks for the help.
