My PC:
Dell Dimension 9200 Core 2 Duo E6400 2,13GHz
2048 Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz Memory
Nvidia GeForce 7900GS (with last driver sertified by Dell)
TSSTCorp DVD +/-RW TS-H553A

Have installed EMC V9 (download) and have problems opening MyDVD projects after burning.
Get the error

Have uninstalled IE7, uninstalled EMC V9, erased all folders/files containing Roxio/Sonic, used CCleaner on registry, used Microsoft Install Cleanup Utility.
Then after disabling McAfee firewall and virus application: Installed EMC9 and tried MyDVD without luck.
When trying to save a MyDVD project, the program suggest a My DVD 8 Project.dmsd (?!) as filetype. Have I got rid of everything from V8 ? (Prior to this installation I have been using EMC V8).

Last try was to check the servers mentioned in knowledgebase. RoxioDB9, Hard Drive Watcher 9, UPnP Renderer 9 is running (automatic started when booting).
UPnP Server 9 and P2P Server 9 is impossible to start even manually.

I have seen many topics on this issue. None of the advices have worked except the tip installing IE7 after EMC 9 and using software rendering. Tried hardware rendering without luck. Got the error 80040207 (?)

Thankful for advice. I can't spend any more time on this with system handling , installing, uninstall, servers, registry, drivers and so on. I must start using the program. A couple of day more with trouble and the EMC 9 will rest in peace......

I have little experience so far with EMC 9, but discovered that it had a much better resolution in QuickShow than V8.  Good !

Tried uninstalling McAfee ? And yes, I read the part that indicated that you had disabled McAfee. You can't completely disable McAfee.
