I just clicked on the "create a DVD" from the DVD drop down menu and the new program comes up and then this error pops up. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling and installing it on a different computer. It still has the same error. I haven't touched anything, but the error comes right up as the new program opens after clicking on the "create a dvd". I downloaded the hotfix to see if it was even the right one, but it didn't work either. It just made it worse by everytime I click "create a dvd" it just minimizes it and makes the whole window/program/ EMC 8 come back to my screen. I have Windows XP. I attached the error messages if it helps.

Thanks for the images, unfortunately you did not post anything about your computer so I'm going to take a guess. Update your video drivers for both computers and make sure you have the latest version of DirectX 9c on both.  There is a pinned post for "mixer is null" try that also.  I'm not sure that is what you tried or not.  

What version of the program do you have?  Since you posted in "8", we know that;  but,  there were three versions of EMC 8 and now there are stand alone like MyDVD 8, plus the programs that come pre-installed on some computers?

This Easy Media Creator 8 program ( AppVer 8.1.2.29 ) Did this come as a OEM version, with a external DVD burner from MadDog or someone else?
