Whenever I try to print a jewel case label, I get the following unhelpful error message:
An unknown error occurred while accessing an unnamed file.
I have installed the content CD, and my clean installation of EMC9 completed without any problems. All other modules I have tried, including all the burn apps, work fine.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry no help but I have exactly the same problem - getting the exact same error message "An unknown error occurred while accessing an unnamed file."

Well, even knowing that is a help - means that it's probably not some particularly weird thing I've done to my system.
Thanks!

Personally, I have not had any problems printing from Label Creator.
To try to find the cause, we need some details. In particular, PC specs, Windows version, printer (and how connected), Style chosen (and any modifications, such as editing of background, etc.) and page settings used in Label Creator.
It would be helpful, if you are willing, if you could do some tests, to see if it is one particular file that you happen to be using that is causing the problem, or whether there is a more general failure in the interaction between Label creator and your printer on your system. For testing purposes, even if trying out one or other commercial template, just use plain paper in the printer; if it prints at least it won't waste your commercial paper.
Is it front or back of jewel case, that causes problem or both? what about the disc label or DVD case (even if you don't normally print those, try for testing purposes)?
Does print test page (bottom of the Print window in label creator) work? It tests the connection between Label creator and the printer by making the printer go through the print process, not actually printing anything, so the printed page is blank).
If print test page works:
Try different styles. Try different paper templates.
The reason I suggest doing such tests is because choice of style, paper template etc. determines the files used. We need to try to get a handle on what the 'unnamed file' is.
I take it you don't have any other printer problems, e.g. printing from other apps, and that you have checked the printer settings.
