My recorders (two) are available for all but the Drag 2 Disk.  The icon shows "No Recorder"..  I tried the rxfix and the rxenabler but no change for the Drag 2 Disk.  I used the feature some months ago with no problem.  I even re-installed Easy Media Creator 8 again and that didn't change the problem.  I would really like to use this feature again, so would appreciate some help.

You don't by chance have another Packet Writing app on your machine do you? These could be Nero's InCD,Sonic DLA to name a couple. If you do that could be your problem.Only 1 should be installed at a time.

I have several burner apps, CloneDVD3 and 1ClickDVDCopy 5.  They were installed when Drag 2 Disk worked a couple of months ago.  Revoved CloneDVD3 and found no effect.  Will try removing 1ClickDVDCopy 5 to see if this gets around the problem.

Thanks for the pointer.

Removed 1ClickDVDCopy and CloneDVD3 and still no recorder available for Drag 2 Disk.  All other Roxio applications still let me use both of my CD/DVD Burners.

Hi,

I had the same problem. Tired updating CD recorder firmware with no luck.
Then I came across this fix which worked:-

Go to C drive, select program files/commonfiles/roxio shared/upgrade then select roxupdate.
Then select roxassist.

Good luck

I think there's about 286 shoplifting days to Christmas, Jim. Depending on where you are relative to the dateline.

As long as you're not like that squadron of new jet fighters whose nav computers blue-screened when going back over the date line because their GPS put the date back a day. Luckily their accompanying tankers didn't have that software problem.
